Let workers request shift swaps, without losing manager control
Workers trade shifts all the time. ScheduleSpark keeps that arrangement in the schedule itself, instead of an informal side deal a manager finds out about after the fact.
How a swap request works
A worker requests to swap one of their shifts from their own shift list. The request shows up for a manager to review — approving it updates the schedule and notifies both workers; denying it leaves the original shift in place.
Manager stays in control
Swaps never take effect automatically — a manager approves each one, so coverage and role requirements are checked before the change is final. See shift change management for how other schedule changes are handled.
Everyone stays notified
Once a swap is approved, both workers are emailed the updated shift details — no one has to double-check the calendar to confirm the swap went through.
