What's in the template

A CSV file (opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers) with one row per worker and one column per day of the week, prefilled with a three-worker example schedule so you can see the format before replacing it with your own team.

Supported file format

Comma-separated values (.csv) — the most portable spreadsheet format, opens in any spreadsheet application without needing a specific version.

How to use it

  1. Download the CSV and open it in your spreadsheet application of choice.
  2. Replace the example rows with your own workers and roles.
  3. Fill in each worker's shift times for the week, or mark the day "OFF".
  4. Share the file with your team, or print it for the break room.

Limitations of spreadsheet scheduling

A spreadsheet doesn't notify anyone when it changes, doesn't track who's available, and can't confirm a worker actually saw their shift. It's a fine starting point for a team of two or three; past that, most teams end up wanting the notifications and confirmations a spreadsheet can't give them.

Skip the spreadsheet
